Five Stars is a Brooklyn-based preschool and daycare for children ages 2–5. Five Stars Montessori Academy is a brand new Daycare Center.

Our program blends elements of Montessori with Creative Curriculum to support each child’s academic, social, and emotional growth in a warm, nurturing environment. We offer a Montessori approach along with Creative curriculum that targets all your child's developmental needs and prepares your little learner for a bright academic future. Our Staff is fully trained in the Montessori method, and create a warm, loving and safe environment. We offer a wide range of Enrichment Classes and Gifted and Talented Preparation classes. Our daily activities included Russian classes, Chess classes, Music and Dance sessions, Yoga, Gardening, Art&Craft, Cooking and even more. Feel free to contact us and make an appointment for a tour.

Before children learn to write, they develop the skills that make it possible! 💚

Our little learners practiced tracing shapes, following lines, and carefully cutting with scissors through hands-on Montessori-inspired activities.

Each movement helps strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, pencil control, and concentration, while giving children opportunities to practice independence and build confidence.

💕 Learning the Language of Feelings at Five Stars 😊

Understanding emotions starts with learning how to recognize and name them. Our little learners explored different feelings, practiced expressing how they feel, and learned to notice emotions in the people around them.

These early conversations help children build self-awareness, empathy, and the confidence to communicate what’s happening inside.

Big feelings become a little easier to navigate when children have the words to express them. 💚

Our little learners explored sight, sound, smell, touch, and taste through a hands-on fall sensory experience! 👀👂👃✋👅

Using autumn-inspired sensory bins and seasonal materials, children explored different colors, textures, scents, sounds, and tastes while discovering how their senses help them experience the world around them. 🍁

A simple fall activity turned into a fun-filled experience of exploration, curiosity, and discovery! 💛

🧪🔬 Little Scientists at Work at Five Stars! 🔬🧪

Our little scientists explored the exciting world of chemical reactions through a series of hands-on experiments! 👨‍🔬✨

They mixed baking soda with vinegar, lemon juice, and cranberry juice, observing how different acidic liquids created bubbling, fizzing reactions. Then came the biggest surprise: discovering how the gas from a baking soda and vinegar reaction could inflate a balloon! 🎈🫧

Lots of experimenting, observing, and exciting discoveries made for one unforgettable Science class! 🚀💚

🍉🌋 Watermelon Volcano Experiment! 🌋🍉

Science got a little explosive at Five Stars! 🧪✨ Our little scientists transformed a watermelon into an erupting volcano, combining ingredients and watching with excitement as their experiment bubbled, fizzed, and overflowed!

A watermelon, a little science, and a BIG reaction made for one unforgettable hands-on summer activity. 🍉💥

🩷💚 Slime Time at Five Stars Summer Camp! 💙💜

Things got a little messy at Summer Camp, and our campers loved every second of it! 🧪✨ From mixing colors and creating their own slime to stretching, squishing, and experimenting with different textures, our little scientists enjoyed a hands-on afternoon of sensory fun.
