Vincent van Gogh is artist of the month in PreK 3. Ms Lotte used "Sunflowers" as the inspiration for a visual arts project to recreate this iconic painting.
Ms Lotte began the project by first asking her young artists to deconstruct the composition and consider the background and horizon line using pencil and paint.
Students used clay, acrylic paint, tissue paper collage, and sponges their multimedia composition.
