Hands-on lab experience is an essential part of preparing CAHE students for careers in healthcare.
Through guided instruction, practice, and faculty support, students build the technical skills, confidence, and attention to detail needed in real clinical environments.
And as the video says, they “ate.”

For nearly two decades, Neal was an integral part of CAHE. As Director of Financial Aid, he helped countless students navigate their education and take the next step toward their futures. But to those who knew him, Neal was so much more than his title.

Helping others was simply who Neal was.

That commitment extended throughout his life. Neal was a founding member and lifelong volunteer EMT with West Side Hatzoloh in Manhattan, dedicating countless years to being there for others when they needed help most. In Hunter, New York, he was a beloved fixture of Jewish life, devoting himself to the Hunter Shul and helping sustain a community that meant so much to him.

Whether it was a student who needed guidance, a person who needed help, or a community that needed someone to step up, Neal was there.

We are grateful for the many years we were fortunate to have Neal as part of the CAHE family and for the lasting impact he leaves on our students, colleagues, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

From CAHE to Hatzoloh to the Hunter community, Neal gave so much of himself to others. He will be deeply missed by the many people whose lives were better for having known him.

May his memory be a blessing.
