School) has provided instructional services through a comprehensive program model for youths ages 6-12, that includes Leadership, the development of Critical thinking skills , cultural enrichment, recreatio

nal, career and community safety programs. The model and successful implementation strategy utilized in administering this program has been formulated over the course of the school’s twenty six years tenure. The comprehensive program design has assisted our youth, from elementary school through college; to become self assured adults. The program creates an environment which is supportive of the individual child, building self esteem, while providing family support. Over the course of the students’ formative years Sankofa International Academy has been a supportive environment in which students solidify academic skills, explore positive options for leisure time and apply these acquired skills in reaching life and career goals.
