Our D18 team came together for a meaningful retreat focused on strengthening our leadership and collaboration 💪

Led by New Leaders, we explored our DISC styles, reflected on our individual strengths, and deepened our understanding of how we work together as a team. Through engaging discussions and activities, we gained valuable insights that will help us continue to support our schools, educators, and students with purpose and impact.

Growing together. Leading together. Achieving together. 💙 💛

Today’s ENL Showcase Event was a powerful celebration of the incredible work happening across District 18. It was inspiring to come together, learn from one another, and highlight the impact we are making for our MLLs every day.

One of the strongest themes from the day was the consistency of effective systems, collaboration, and student-centered instruction across our ENL programs. The results speak for themselves:
📈 District 18 has achieved 22% ELP growth on Lexia, surpassing last year’s end-of-year growth of 19%!

This achievement reflects the hard work, passion, and commitment of every ENL educator across our district. 
Together, we are growing, thriving, and making a difference. 💙💛

🎉 A special congratulations to Ms. Asha Carter (18K114), who will be recognized on June 10th at OML’s Multilingual Teacher Mentorship Program Celebration and serve as a panelist. We are incredibly proud of this well-deserved honor!
