The "Made in NY" Production Assistant (PA) Training Program is a FREE skills training and job placement program which aims to promote diversity in NYC’s production industry and create new career opportunities for young adults who are underemployed, unemployed, or low-income.
“Made in NY” PAs are selected through a competitive admissions process and complete an intensive five-week skills training
program taught by industry professionals. After training, graduates receive 2 years of job placement assistance, career counseling and certification as a “Made in NY” Production Assistant through a partnership with the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment. Eligibility Requirements, to be considered for this opportunity interested applicants must be:
- at least 18 years of age
- current New York City residents ONLY
[Applicants must be able to prove residency within the five boroughs of NYC for the past 6-months or more]
- underemployed, unemployed, or low-income
- legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- available full-time and able to attend the four-week training program (Monday through Friday, 7:30am-6pm)
- available after graduation to work freelance, on-call 12/14+ hours per day in TV/Film production
- able to make a 2-year commitment to working full-time in the TV & Film production industry after graduating from the "Made in NY" PA Training Program
We will be unable to consider applicants who do not meet all the above eligibility requirements. Attend an info session to receive further information.
*This position requires a driver's license but interested individuals are welcome to attend an information session. No driver's license? Those without a driver's license are welcome to attend an info session and apply. Applicants must be 18-29 years of age to be considered for the "Made in NY" PA Driver's Education Scholarship.
