From the panyard to one of the biggest stages in the world, P.E.S.O. continues to show the power, talent, discipline, and ENERGY of our steelpan community. 💥🎶

And what makes it even more special? OUR YOUTHS ARE RIGHT THERE CARRYING THE CULTURE FORWARD! ❤️

The USSA Community Band DID A THING in the heart of Times Square! 🗽🎶🔥 Representing the incredible band arrangers in our community, they showed exactly why the steelpan movement continues to thrive, evolve, and command attention!

There were so many EPIC performances, but what truly stood out was the incredible diversity and versatility of our national instrument—the STEELPAN! 🇹🇹❤️

From different musical genres, styles and generations, each presentation brought something unique to the stage. Every performance reminded us that PAN has no boundaries—our national instrument can tell our story while taking its rightful place on stages around the world. 🌎🥁🎶

And Times Square heard PAN loud and clear! 🗽🔥

A BIG UP to the Consulate General of Trinidad & Tobago, USSA and SESAME for continuing to push the culture forward and creating a space to showcase our instrument, our artists and our heritage in celebration of World Steelpan Day! 👏🏽🇹🇹

In celebration of World Steelpan Day, we’re shining the spotlight on 6-year-old child prodigy Sir Halo! 🌟🔥

At only SIX years old, Sir Halo is already showing incredible talent on the steelpan, bringing the music of the iconic Michael Jackson to life through our national instrument. 🎶🥁👑

This is what cultural preservation looks like—our traditions being learned, loved and carried forward by the next generation. Watching young pannists like Sir Halo reminds us that the culture is in good hands with our youths! ❤️

And he’s just getting started! 👏🏽 Sir Halo will be competing at the upcoming Youth Pan Festival Soloist Preliminaries next Friday at 8 PM at Metro Steel Orchestra Pan Yard.

Come out and support Sir Halo and all of our talented young pannists as they take the stage! 🏆🥁

We had an EPIC time today celebrating PAN in Times Square with the amazing Natasha Wilson & Mr. Voice! 🎤🎶 From the sweet sounds of steelpan to the dancing, laughter and pure Caribbean energy, Times Square came alive with our culture!

Seeing PAN take center stage in the heart of New York City was truly something special. ❤️🥁🌎 We celebrated our history, our music, our people and the incredible journey of the steelpan—from Trinidad & Tobago to Brooklyn and beyond!

Thank you to everyone who came out, danced, celebrated and helped us push the culture forward!

Brooklyn has long been an important part of Machel Montano’s journey, with the Brooklyn Museum holding a special place in the story of his early performances in New York and his connection to our Caribbean community.

From those early days to becoming an international Soca icon, Machel continues to carry our music, energy and culture across generations and around the world. 🌎🔥

Congratulations, Machel Montano, on an AWESOME performance! 👏🏾👏🏾 And after a performance like that, there’s only one thing to say… ENCORE! ENCORE! ENCORE! 🎤🔥🇹🇹

We look forward to seeing Machel’s upcoming presentation at the Brooklyn Museum this month—returning to a space connected to his Brooklyn legacy and celebrating just how far the journey has come.
