Christmas giving!! Students from our Leadership class are organizing thousands of gifts for the Michigan Department for Health and Human Services Angel Tree Giving Program. This program helps thousands of kids in Jackson county.
The week of December 11th, students in grades 7, 9, and 11 will participate in the Michigan Profile for Healthy Youth Survey. Information regarding this survey was emailed to parents and available in the December newsletter. If you do not want your child to participate in the survey, please complete the opt-out form and return it to the office. Please contact the office if you wish to set up a time to preview the survey or if you have any questions. Have a great evening!

Mr. Wesche's Agricultre class has applied for a Community Choice grant to get money for a beehive program (apiary) at the Jr/Sr high school. Please take time to vote!

Join us tonight for the Weekend of the Arts at CCHS. The jazz band concert and art show begins at 6 pm. Vocal performances and the Jr./Sr. High productions begin at 7pm. If you are unable to attend this evening, there will be another opportunity tomorrow at 1pm. Tickets are $5. Thank you for your support.
Congratulations to our Jr. High competitive cheer team as they placed 3rd at the Addison Jamboree on Thursday. These lady Golden Eagles really showed up and put it out there. Next jamboree is 11/30 at Grass Lake.๐๐๐ฃ

We are currently in the third season of the 4 Seasons of College Application: Scholarships! Students should start applying for scholarships now and continue applying for them until they have finished their post-secondary education. Here is a list of local scholarship opportunities that I will be talking with your student about:
Meyer Lois Franklin Scholarship - up to $5,000 - opens December 1, 2023
Jackson Community Foundation Scholarships - 1 application can apply students for up to 5 scholarships of various amounts - opens December 1, 2023
Jackson Legacy Scholarship - $1,000 for students attending Jackson College, Baker College in Jackson, or Spring Arbor University - included in the JCF Scholarship Application - opens December 1, 2023

Over the weekend, some of our high school students participated in Musical Theater Solo and Ensemble. Congratulations to Morgan, Tucker, Rosalynn, Nathan, and Madison on receiving 1st Division Ratings! We are so proud of your success and this beautiful performance!
Happy Veterans Day! We are grateful for your courage, bravery, and service. Thank you to all those who were able to attend our Veterans Day ceremony on Friday. It was a special day honoring those who served in our community.

Jostens will be on campus during lunches tomorrow, Tuesday, November 7th to take orders for class rings and graduation. If you are not ordering in person tomorrow for cap and gown, those need to be ordered online BY November 21st.

They have the exciting opportunity to perform with other programs in Jackson County and the Detroit Lions drumline will be the featured headliner.
