Memory Monday Shout-Out to The Class of 2026!

Exactly two months ago today, SSKCA held an Awards Ceremony to recognize the academic achievements of our 8th Graders just prior to graduation. After the presentation of awards and certificates were over this amazing group of students expressed their thanks and gratitude to all of our faculty who had assisted them on their journey through their elementary school years. They shared special memories and paid tribute to each of their teachers, administrators and our pastor. They even presented Mr. Carbone with a special NUT Card all his own and thanked him for his leadership and the valuable lesson of teamwork. Overall the students attributed their success to the strong circle of faith and family found here at St. Stan's-Brooklyn.

We would like to extend our very best wishes to our graduates and their families and wish them the best of luck as they begin their first year of high school. We have no doubt that they will make us all proud as they are “Simply the Best”.

At St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Academy in Brooklyn, our family stretches far beyond the classroom walls and literally across the world!

Even on summer vacation in Poland, two of our wonderful St. Stan’s teachers, Ms. Kazes & Ms. Bozena are collaborating and made time to live out our core value: family. While vacationing separately they met up and traveled to visit our beloved former pastor, Fr. Joe, to check in and share a piece of home.

During their visit, they proudly presented Fr. Joe with our school yearbook, which features a very special page dedicated to his retirement Mass earlier this year! It just goes to show that no matter where you go or how many miles are between us, once you are part of our St. Stan's family, you are family for life.

We miss you and send you our love all the way from Brooklyn, Fr. Joe! Best wishes for all of God’s blessings as you enjoy your retirement.❤️🤍🙏

TakeMeBackTuesday: Celebrating Our Retirees!

Taking it back to June 18th at our end-of-year faculty brunch, where we laughed, cried, tried to win some SSKCA Swag and said the fondest goodbyes to two incredible educators with a celebratory cake and some parting gifts.

Join us in celebrating the well-deserved retirements of:

Mrs. Lenore Kamuda – Our legendary Pre-K Teaching Assistant. For 23 years, Mrs. Kamuda has been the first warm smile welcoming our littlest learners. Her patience, love, and dedication shaped the very foundation of our school community.
She started her time back in 2002. A total of 7 years between the Annex office and subbing for our beloved Sister Dorothea, then 16 years in the PreKs (3’s and 4’s).

Mr. Raymond Bonilla – Our wonderful Physical Education teacher for the last 6 years. Mr. Bonilla brought energy, teamwork, and fun to our students every single day. We will always remember his words: PEP – Pay Attention, Show Effort, and Participate!

Congratulations on your retirement and thank you both for your years of service, your passion, and the lasting legacy you leave behind. We will miss you but you will always be a part of our St. Stan's family.

Memory Monday Shout-Out & Thank You!!

On behalf of our entire St. Stan’s Family, Please accept our sincerest & heartfelt thanks for your stunning generosity in support of SSKCA! You are the reason why St. Stan’s continues to be “Simply the Best!”

The Walk-A-Thon results were announced during morning announcements on our last day of school. Here are a few of the fund-raising highlights, along with some "SHOUT-OUTS" from an incredibly successful (and near record-setting) 2026 Walkathon:
• We were able to reach our lofty $15,000
goal, as the $15,014.63 was the 2nd highest total achieved in terms of money raised for any SSKCA Walkathon.
• Congratulations to the 1st & 3rd
Grades, who raised the most money in total and on a per-student basis. Both classes raised nearly $2,000 each, with an average total of $90 per student. They received a free pizza party and a coveted 1 hour of open gym for their efforts!!!
• A MEGA "Shout-Out" goes to our overall fund-raising champion, Kindergarten student Elle, who raised an impressive total of $635!!! Elle received a $200 Gift Card in appreciation for her efforts (along with 5 special edition Knicks N.U.T. cards). As promised, Mr. Carbone has proudly matched (and doubled) Elle's donation!!!

Congratulations to all of our Walk-A-Thon Champions! We thank you for making this fundraiser an outstanding success!!

😊❤️😎Happy !😎❤️😊While emojis help us express joy, gratitude, love, and kindness online, nothing compares to the real smiles created through acts of service.

Today we're also celebrating our Sharing Smiles Klub, whose members were presented with a special plaque & Smile Face cookie as a year-end gift in recognition and appreciation of their outstanding dedication to our St. Stan's community during the 2025–2026 school year. Many thanks to Fortunato Brothers Café & Pasticceria for the sweet smiley cookies. SSK accepted their gifts in a special presentation on our last day of school and showed their appreciation and thanks to our administrators with flowers and cookies.

Under the guidance of moderators Mrs. DeLuca, Mrs. Petrizzo, and Mrs. Kadzielawski, these remarkable students have made a difference in countless ways. From organizing Coat & Shoe Drives with local community organizations,Toy Drives for Catholic Charities, Denim Day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, and National Wear Red Day to promote heart health, to helping host our Fall Festival and Breakfast with Santa, they have shown what it means to serve others with generous hearts.

Twice each week, these students also gather to thoughtfully prepare the prayer petitions shared during our principal's morning announcements & school-wide prayer, helping make this tradition even more meaningful for our entire school family.

Congratulations to our Sharing Smiles Klub on this well-deserved recognition. Thank you for reminding us that the most meaningful "emoji" is a smile shared through kindness, compassion, faith, and service. We wish you a “Simply the Best” summer break and look forward to you all coming back to share your smiles in September!

Need a break from the mid-week grind? Inject some color into your day! This is just what our middle school students did to blow off some steam after the successful completion of final exams. They participated in a fun Color Blast celebration! This vibrant outdoor event included throwing brightly colored non-toxic powders at each other to festively wrap up the end of their school year and celebrate the start of summer in a high energy, explosive color event!

On Throwback Thursday, we look back at a recent end-of-year Glow Party. Students were treated to a fun afternoon featuring iridescent balloons, glow sticks, and dance music! Special Shout-Out to SSKCA parent Mr. Biagio Fortunato our amazing DJ for this special event! What a great way to relieve stress and celebrate their achievements. We hope the fun continues for all of our students throughout the summer break!
