Congrats to our intrepid squad who represented PS 56 at the D13 Science Fair last week with projects that explored how lightning forms, whether images influence decision making, and how germs, playing on the playground, and handwashing intersect. The latter two projects earned top honors — congrats Kian for winning 3rd grade with “Bagels with a Side of Positivity” and duo Mary & Louisa for winning the PreK-2nd grade band with “Playing with Germs”!

Our PS 56 Dance Team had an amazing time performing at the Showcase and representing our school at the ! ✨💙
So proud of these talented students for all their hard work, confidence, and teamwork on and off the stage. Thank you to our dance coaches, families, staff, and everyone who supported and encouraged our dancers along the way. These opportunities mean so much to our students and school community. 💃🎉

Throwback to April and the mighty performers of our 4th annual PS 56 talent show. So much bravery, confidence, and talent on display from every grade and we could not be prouder of our students. Big thanks to our amazing team of volunteers for helping to pull this off and our amazing community for showing up and supporting each performer! ✨❤️

Last week ended with 5th grader & budding dendrologist Rhys leading his second annual neighborhood tree ID walk for our PreK-2nd grade classes. So much was learned & everyone enjoyed the fresh air and tree energy on a beautiful day! 🌳
Our first graders had an amazing Earth Day experience visiting the hydroponic farm at . 🌎🌱 This trip brought our IB unit, How We Organize Ourselves, to life as students explored systems, function, and relationships in real time. They saw how plants grow without soil, made connections to sustainability, and asked thoughtful questions throughout the visit.
