🗓️ When: Tuesday, October 20th, 6-7 p.m.
🍕 Free childcare and pizza for students with RSVP!

All PS 56 families are welcome! Come learn how our school works, find ways to get involved at any level, and share your ideas for building a great school community together. If you’re new to PS 56, we especially hope you’ll join us.

➡️ Why Your Support Matters
At PS 56, we believe every student deserves a rich, well-rounded school experience and the resources they need to learn and thrive. But public funding provides only the bare minimum.

The funding PS 56 receives does not cover art, music, dance, Spanish, academic support, and field trips. It also falls short of covering basic needs like paper, classroom supplies, and air conditioning units and maintenance.

❤️ That’s where the PS 56 School Experience Fund comes in. Together, PS 56 families and our broader community fund the programs, resources, and everyday essentials that benefit every student in our school.

The PTA invests approximately $850 per student each year. Every gift is pooled, every student benefits. Our 2026-2027 goal is $230,000.

🚨 Now through October 31st, the first $30,000 raised will be matched with an additional $35,000, so consider donating today!

Good vibes all around at our annual back to school picnic over the weekend — face painting, bouncy houses, music, basketball, art, and just enjoying a beautiful day in the school yard catching up with friends. ☀️❤️ Big thanks to Private Picassos and ICN Brooklyn for hanging out, and to Brooklyn Book Bodega and Blick Brooklyn Myrtle Ave. for donating new reads and writing supplies for kids to take home! The 2025-2026 school year has come to a close! The last weeks were a whirlwind! Kinder graduation, trips on boats and the edge, 5th grade graduation, S’Cool Sounds jazz assembly and on the last day a visit from Chancellor Kamar Samuels!
