A little musing on my Pops on this Father's Day. Honoring and acknowledging just how much I appreciate all the ways he loved and supported and accepted me and my brothers for who we were and who we are.
Papa Bear, as we affectionately called him, was always quick to smile, to laugh and tell a joke, to give a hug. He never shied away from saying "I love you." He was an artist. He was a craftsman. He loved teaching. And fishing. And singing. And being goofy. And playing games. And he loved his sons.
He loved us, even though we never played any sports. Even though we all hated fishing. Even though we were all very different, and different from him. Still, he loved us. And celebrated us. And we loved him. And we love him.
Thank you, dad. Miss you and love you.

My father passed away in early March after a long and arduous struggle with dementia and Alzheimer's. As the Alzheimer's got worse, he grew more despondent about things he had done, things he had said over his lifetime. He thought he didn't deserve love because he'd been bad, he'd made poor choices or hurt people. He thought there was something wrong with him, intrinsically wrong with him.
I know the struggle. I too have lived the majority of my life feeling this way. Feeling that something was wrong with me and that I didn't deserve love. I think my grandparents felt this too. And I wonder about my brother and his kids. Did they inherit this as well?
And that's what it is, an inherited narrative, reinforced by mind that seeks confirmation. Now, I know that my father is deserving of love. And his parents, and my brother, and his children. All deserving of love. I'm deserving of love.
My father was unable to let go of this belief in his unworthiness. He worked on it, and he was unable to get all of it out. And I refuse to carry this narrative any longer. I refuse to pass it on, consciously or unconsciously. I refuse to let it define who I am. Because I know that that's what my father would want for me. That's what he would want for my family. That's what he would want for all of us. To know with every cell of our being that we are deserving of love. And there is nothing so bad we could ever do that would negate the simple fact that we are worthy and deserving of love.
Need a boost of the feel goods! Here you go!
What sorts of affirmations would you like more of?

Trust. Let go. Allow. Breathe.
If you're struggling, we can do it together.
I'm here. I'm in it too.
Trust. Let go. Allow. Breathe.
Some things I'm working on:
I've spent a lot of of my life worrying what other people think of me. And to that end I have spent a lot of my life judging others so that I can separate myself from them as a preemptive way to avoid their judgment of me. It is kept me from posting regularly. Sharing the work I do as a coach and a spiritual reader and advisor. It has kept me from sharing my singing voice. And I have a nice voice. It has kept me from living boldly. It has kept me from claiming the things I want. And from affirming the greatness that I am.
It's time for that to stop. This is the start of the end of that and the start of something new.
Is there anything you want to hear from me?
Another AWESOME combo by after her Friday theatre jazz class at
I made her do it with me as a duo. Didn't require too much arm twisting on my part! It's really fun, right?!
Pardon the abrupt end. She kept dancing and I didn't know the end and I just looked lost. Ha.
You CAN change the past.
Not only can you approach the past from a new perspective, with an open heart and kind eyes, in hypnosis you can actually go into your past and rewrite it how you want it to have been. You can empower your younger self to experience memories, scenes how you wish they had unfolded. You can resource your younger self with what you needed to stand up for yourself, to take care of your needs, to speak up. And as you do that work to create a new past, you change the present.
Try it for yourself and let me know how it goes. And if you want to work on rewriting your past, send me a message and we'll play!
Thanks to .ayacura for the inspiration. He's an AMAZING healer and friend. I HIGHLY recommend him if you're curious about plant medicine journeys.

"We form a relationship with ourselves based on love, not self-annihilation..."
David Bedrick's The Unshaming Way is a masterclass in alchemy.
Look folks, I'm trained in changework coaching. Literally helping people change. Yet I'm also an Akashic-Intuitive reader and channel. It's from my work in the latter that I know in my heart we're all whole. Perfect. As we are. And there's so much power in accepting ourselves where we are in our journey. Are we wanting to change for ourselves? Or are we trying to fit into some narrative?
