My name is Liza But and I'm an experienced art tutor located in the Sheepshead Bay area of Brooklyn. I'm currently taking on new students for private art lessons in my home studio located 15 minutes walking from the MTA Q train Avenue U station.

My lessons are geared towards kids and high schoolers who want to learn the fundamentals of art in a variety of mediums including:

As a current student in the Fashion Design program at FIT, I can also help students build an art portfolio for admission into art colleges and programs. I have personal experience with the art school admissions process that I can leverage to assist students in preparing portfolios that stand out.

The cost is $40 per 1 hour lesson in my studio. I'm also open to traveling to your home for lessons at a slightly higher rate.

Hello everyone! My name is Liza But and I'm an artist based in Brooklyn.👩‍🎨I founded UARTstudio to teach kids creativity through not just academic drawing, but fostering imagination and spending quality time making art together.

I'm originally from Ukraine, so I'm fluent in both English and Ukrainian. I've been working professionally as an artist for over 2 years now. I graduated from the top art boarding school in Ukraine located in Kyiv, and also studied graphic design for some time at Mercyhurst University in Pennsylvania.

I've also completed courses in concept game art, so I'm highly proficient in programs like Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other artistic software. My technical skills allow me to teach digital art in addition to traditional drawing and painting. Whether your child is interested in fine art or game design, I can provide instruction tailored to their interests and goals.

In this post, you can see some examples of my work, but you can find even more drawings and paintings on my main profile. My goal is to create the most welcoming and comfortable environment for your kids while giving them a high level of art instruction.
