Today the 2nd graders went on an adventure deep into the open ocean with author (and former 261 parent!) Brooke McIntyre!
Brooke read her new book “If You Went to the Bottom of the Ocean” and shared so many incredible facts about what you find deep underwater and how to write a nonfiction book.
Thanks for an amazing visit, Brooke!

🧬PS 261 PTA hosted a fantastic return to the Science Fair, and the 64 Junior Scientist students astounded us with their creativity, confidence, excitement and curiosity.
Thank you to all the families who came out to support and learn, the visiting Scientists who led activations and queries, Ms. Khadija (our own Science star), and all the volunteers.

A big thanks to the PS 261 Community for coming out to our librarian Ms. M’s inaugural Book Club meeting! We talked all about “The Nine Moons of Han Yu & Luli,” by Karina Yan Glaser, shared dumplings and bao, and other potluck goodies, and celebrated reading as an act of community!
