The B.A.-M.D. Program is a combined undergraduate/MD program run by Brooklyn College/SUNY Downstate. The Coordinated B.A.-M.D. Students applying to the B.A.-M.D.
In the first four years, at Brooklyn College, the students take the program’s curriculum of pre-med science courses, and they also earn a bachelor’s degree in the major of their choice. Students spend the next four years at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and earn their M.D. Program was inaugurated in 1969, and many of its graduates are now leaders in their communities and fields of medicine. What a great end to spring break! A group of 20 BA/MD students visited Six Flags for a group bonding experience and outing day! Great way to relieve stress heading into finals!!

This past week, the BA-MD program held its annual Thanksgiving Potluck! It was a tremendous success, with students bringing over sixty homemade items. Clothing for this year was also distributed, with a first ever Beanie edition! Thank you everyone for coming out, and to Susan Gong for designing the apparel!

Yesterday, the freshmen students in the program took a trip to SUNY Downstate Medical Center for a tour! We are grateful to alumni of Brooklyn College who are currently students at Downstate for taking the time out of their busy schedules to spend time with us!

Last week, the BA-MD club, the Period Club and the Rotaract Club at BC held an event called "Gift of Giving." Students gathered to make feminine/disaster-relief/and hygiene kits to donate. The money for this even was raised in a bake sale a few weeks ago. There were a total of 133 kits made! What an amazing sight it is to see students giving back! Thank you everyone for coming out!
