🎓🏅 Brooklyn College is honored to award the Presidential Medal of Honor to Cecillia D. Wang at our 2026 Commencement.

A nationally recognized civil rights leader, Wang has spent more than two decades at the ACLU leading landmark legal challenges to racial discrimination and unlawful policing and detention policies.

Most recently, she argued before the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold birthright citizenship under the Fourteenth Amendment. We are proud to recognize her courageous leadership and enduring impact.

Corey Robin Awarded Prestigious Berlin Prize Fellowship by the American Academy in Berlin - Brooklyn College The distinguished professor of political science will spend his fellowship year advancing his new book project, King Capital.

🎓🏅 Brooklyn College is proud to announce that Melissa Erica Murray will receive an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at our 2026 Commencement.

A nationally renowned legal scholar, educator, and public intellectual, Professor Murray’s work has shaped contemporary debates on constitutional law, democracy, and reproductive rights—while advancing public understanding of the law’s central role in building a more just and inclusive society.

Murray is well known to Brooklyn College as our 2024–25 Hess Scholar, and we are honored to celebrate her extraordinary contributions alongside the Class of 2026.
