Kicking off Teacher Appreciation Week, we showed some love ❤️ to our teachers and staff with (always a hit!) and treats from the MS 447 community. We’re so grateful for everything you do!

Thank you to everyone who sent treats and sweets for our Fall Teacher Appreciation Breakfast on Friday and to the volunteers who lent many helping hands! A big shoutout to for providing the always-delicious hot breakfast tacos. In the season of giving thanks, we’re very grateful for our wonderful teachers and staff at MS 447! 🫶

“Basketball Blues: A Tragicomedy in One Act.”🎭...
Whether they love basketball, soccer, handball, or just running around, our students need equipment to stay active at school. The PTA helps provide supplies and extra access to the gym, so a gift to the Annual Appeal keeps our “all-stars” moving!

Tomorrow, Thursday, 11/20, we’ll have a virtual PTA meeting from 6:30 pm to 7:45 pm. As part of the parent & guardian engagement, we’ll discuss Building Independence.
We have a special expert guest joining us for the discussion! MS 447’s School Social Worker Stacey Billups, LMSW, will start the conversation by sharing insights, and then, we’ll open up for questions and discussion.

HEAR YE, HEAR YE! 📣 Student-Led Conferences are Thursday, 11/13! SLCs will be held remotely, so it will be a half-day for students (11:57 am dismissal).
Pack leaders will contact parents/guardians with information to confirm a time slot and a Zoom link. Conferences will run in the afternoon & evening. Because these meetings are student-led, both the student and a parent or guardian need to attend.
It’s our students’ time to sound off! 📣❤️
