The Brooklyn College Cancer Center brought the wider Brooklyn community together for “Beyond Awareness: Breast Cancer in the Afro-Caribbean Diaspora, From Health to Wellness, Tips, Resources & Empowerment – Good Health WINS.” It was a deeply impactful evening exploring breast cancer experiences, sharing vital resources, and discussing proactive health considerations specifically within Afro-Caribbean communities.

This incredible event was co-hosted by CUNY Haitian Studies Institute in collaboration with the Women's Center at Brooklyn College, Brooklyn College Health Clinic, Health Programs / Immunization Requirements Office, Department of Health and Nutrition Sciences, Center for Health Promotion, NCNW, Inc. Flatbush Section, American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Brooklyn, and The Maurer Foundation.
