These two just can’t get enough of the Mississippi State Fair!

Logan Cothen and Lane Tucker made it home from the lamb shows around 1 a.m. Sunday morning… but six hours later, they were right back in the truck headed to Jackson!

Both competed in today’s State Fair Livestock Judging Contest, gaining valuable experience and putting their knowledge to work.

We are proud of their dedication, work ethic, and commitment to continually learning and improving. That’s what it’s all about! Way to go, guys!

THANK YOU, MS HAIR SHEEP BREEDER’S ASSOCIATION!

A huge thank-you to the fine folks with the Mississippi Hair Sheep Breeder’s Association for their generous $500 donation to our Stock Show Team! Your support means so much to our program and our students!

We are incredibly fortunate to be part of such a wonderful organization, and we encourage others to explore membership opportunities, too! The hair sheep industry continues to grow and thrive across Mississippi, bringing exciting opportunities for our producers and the next generation of agricultural leaders. 🇺🇸

Our team is grateful for this investment in our students and their future. We look forward to putting these funds to work as we continue to grow, learn, and achieve together!

Thank you for believing in our kids and investing in the future of agriculture!

Awesome job to Brooklyn FFA member and livestock exhibitor Faith Cooley, who proudly carried the American flag horseback last night at the FCAHS Aggies football game in honor of Military Appreciation Night!

Faith and her horse, Delta, made us all proud!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country. We are grateful for your sacrifices and the freedoms you protect! 🇺🇸

Enter… if you dare. 🎃
Something isn’t right at the FCAHS Farm.

The cattle have stopped grazing near the back fence. The sheep crowd the gates before sundown. The barn doors swing when there’s no wind, and some swear they’ve seen figures standing along the fence rows, watching… waiting.

Then there are the sounds from the woods.
Some say it’s just coyotes. Others know better.

Climb aboard our Haunted Hayride and travel through dark pastures, past abandoned equipment and shadowy barns, and deep into the woods where some things are better left undisturbed.

Stay in the wagon.
Keep your hands inside.
And whatever you hear calling from the pasture… don’t answer. 💀

It’s a beautiful morning on the farm! ☀️

There’s not much better than being greeted by a brand-new baby calf. It’s homecoming week here at FCAHS… what should we name this heifer?

This little one officially marks the start of our fall calving season. Now if we could just convince some fall weather to show up, too…

Bring on the babies and cooler temperatures!
