As we wrap up the school year, this will be my final post as a member of the PS 204 PTA Executive Board.
What started as a way to support my children and our school turned into a wonderful adventure filled with friendships, fun, endless group chats, moving more boxes than I ever imagined, and a deep appreciation for this amazing community.
As the person behind the camera and our social media, it has been a privilege to help tell the story of PS 204, not just through academics and achievements, but through our people, celebrations, traditions, and everyday moments that reflect the heart of our school. Capturing and sharing those memories has been one of the best parts of my time on the PTA.
A special thank you to Mrs. Sainato, Ms. Salina, teachers, staff, and the entire administration team for your support, partnership, and care over the years. Your dedication to our students, families, and staff is what makes PS 204 such a special place, and I am deeply grateful for each of you.
As I close this chapter, I also want to recognize PTA President Debra Thompson for her many years of dedication and service to our school community. Her work behind the scenes brought heart, creativity, and thoughtful leadership to so many of our projects. Debra has a remarkable ability to turn ideas into meaningful traditions, always keeping students, families, and community at the center of everything she does. It has been a privilege to learn from and work alongside her. And to our husbands, James and Cory—thank you for being the dads behind the scenes. From hauling boxes and picking up last-minute supplies to fixing, carrying, delivering, and doing all the jobs you never officially signed up for, you've been the unofficial PTA handymen and muscle crew. So much of what happened over the years was possible because you quietly showed up whenever we needed an extra set of hands.
We also wish our incoming PTA Board—Lani, Darlene, Cindy, Heidi, Yuki, and Yan—much success in the 2026–2027 school year.
This may be my last PTA post, but it isn't goodbye. You'll still see me around school events and cheering on our students.
