Hi community! It's been oh so many years since I've posted here. You'll be happy to know I still live by the fat, fiber and protein formula for my meals and snacks cuz I'm not risking getting ! Blood sugar balance and anti-inflammatory eating are still a massive part of my self care routine, and I hope some of the tenets we covered together are still with you today!
Since sunsetting Culinary Farmacy in 2019, I've gone on to do more coaching and growth in the Conscious Leadership field. It was during my 5 year tenure coaching at a medical company where I realized that food was not the end all be all for optimal health - that strong/safe relationships in the workplace provided as much, if not more nourishment to people. I now work with individuals (executives, managers etc) and companies to help reduce workplace drama and increase creativity and connection. It's been an incredibly organic (no pun intended) evolution into this space and I hope you'll follow along.
I hope you are all thriving - and when you aren't having some grace and gentleness with yourself along the way.

I never got a comprehensive work up until I was 32 years old. Working at Parsley has changed my life and my health. I thought I was vital and healthy but getting comprehensive labs and specialty testing revealed I had elevated autoimmune factors, Hashimotos, elevated Mercury, estrogen dominance and if you can believe it, I was even borderline diabetic with an A1C of 5.6!
in the past two years I've addressed all of these issues and now know the tweaks and improvements I need to be conscious of moving forward! It's been incredible to sit down with our doctors, create a plan and quite literally, change my current state of health and the trajectory of the years to come!

I used to hate oatmeal. Nothing I did to it would make it appealing. I’ve been more or less AIP for a few years now and also low carbohydrate. Oatmeal definitely doesn’t fit into those categories.
This summer I started to experience some frustrating and persistent GI symptoms. Test results came back and revealed SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth). I’ve been playing with protocols and supplements with my team at but the best things for SIBO so far have been eating Low FODMAP and managing my stress levels. Your GI system essentially shuts down during times of stress BTW.
I’ve been soaking steel cut oats overnight in water and rinsing them well. I cook for ten minutes and stir in a tsp of coconut oil, sea salt and heaps of Ceylon cinnamon. Once cooked, I add in a tsp of Royal Jelly/Propolis (anti-microbial support), 20 grams of Grass fed collagen for protein and some ground flax seeds for more fiber and omega 3’s. I’ll top this bowl of goodness with some frozen berries and a dollop of COYO Coconut Yogurt! Yum!
Your inner ecosystem is constantly in flux depending on what you expose it to. Stress, alcohol, sugar and travel can all shift the microbiome and boom, a bacterial overgrowth in the wrong place can happen to the best of us. This is a friendly reminder to be flexible in your diet and be willing to evolve as your body needs you to. 💥❤️🍽🍃🙏🏼 ps- My 22 Day Sugar Cleanse begins November 1st, click on the link to sign up!

Green Matcha tea is my new obsession via Matchaful!
🍵 Matcha tea contains incredible anti-oxidant compounds including epigallocatechin gallate (EGCg), which make up 60% of the catechins. ECG's are proven to be exceptional at fighting cancer cells.
🍵 Matcha tea also contains an amino acid called L-Theanine which helps boost mood, sharpen mental clarity and modulate hormone health.
🍵 Matcha tea contains high amounts of chlorophyll which helps detox the body of heavy metals.
🍵 High estrogen? Matcha tea is great at reducing excess estrogen in the body.
🍵 You can drink Matcha tea hot, or whisk it in oatmeal or smoothies.
I love because their Matcha is single origin ceremonial grade AND it’s organic! If you are in Brooklyn, find them at or one of their locations!
Note: if you are sensitive to caffeine, have it earlier in the day and with something full fat to help balance cortisol output and balance blood sugar regulation.

Blueberries for the win! 🙏🏼
🌱 Blueberries are the highest in flavonoids which are a class of polyphenol compounds also found in EVOO and other colorful fruit/vegetables.
⚡️ The most abundant flavonoids in blueberries are called anthocyanins, which enhance signaling in the regions of the brain that handle memory and cognition.
📚 In one study by Dr. Krikorian, the director of the Cognitive Aging Program at the University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center, it was found that twelve weeks of blueberry supplementation improves memory function and mood and reduced fasting blood sugar in older adults at risk for dementia.
🌱 Berries protect the brain against aging and neuronal damage. Rotating cherries, raspberries and even blackberries are a great way to diversify your fruit and nutrient intake. 🌱 Buying fresh local berries is always best, but sometimes frozen organ berries are cheaper and more widely available. I aim for one cup a day of blue or red berries for my fruit intake.

I am by no means a fitness expert, but I am wildly curious about the human experience and what keeps people sharp long into old age. I believe it comes down to consistently embracing habits that actually move the needle forward for vitality. In other words, get crystal clear and targeted in where you spend time/energy and resources. Here is what I’ve learned over the years working with patients:
1) Movement is a daily activity that has nothing to do with a gym membership
2) Using your environment (including drift wood and or park benches 😉) for inspiration to stay active is a win win! You get the chance to move under the sun and use your imagination to stay active. New neural pathways are being created with every step! 🤓
3) Rest days are very important, but can still include light stretching and nature walks- a sure fire way to boost your parasympathetic nervous system and feel grounded.
4) You are constantly evolving so ditch strict routines and find your framework. What 3 things can you do everyday (no matter where you are!) that help you feel aligned and vibrant?
For me, it comes down to an early bed time, aiming for 10 cups of veggies/greens/sprouts and yes, movement. Throw in some good human connection or quality alone time, and I feel like a rockstar. My framework is my blueprint to vitality and joy.
What are your 3 things?
