I've a got a phone call today... "Lovely", smart and recently arrived lady requested a free consultation...
No problem... I offered to her couple time slots and nothing seems to be convenient for her... No problem... things happen, busy holiday season before Easter... I understand...
She asked me is my consultation is free? I confirmed... Brief 20 minutes consultation is free, because in some cases I cannot help people, when their previous educational background is not comparable with license requirements. I do not think that this is fair to take the person, train through the tests and than stuck with her because they cannot get through the final stage certification, so I say it upfront.
I explained her that to be certified and licensed she needs to have at least SSN with employment authorization and instead I heard rudely: " Oh, but you are greedy people only want me to pay for your licenses..."
"Well, what makes you think that we are obligated to give license for free? What makes you think that I must work for free with you from 2 to 4 months, giving warranty and offering first free reteach? With all due respect, what is so special in you that you are entitled?"
She was astonished with my question.. After a short pause, she F U X X ING B X T C H K and started to yell that I am heartless and cruel, because she came from the war and she is entitled, because she is arrived and I am "must serve her for free, especially that I am braininess and brainwashed American"
I did not hang up on her... I just simply asked her did she finished her statement ? And is she ready to listen by response... She hang up and its OK.
I was starting to think... Yes, I am entitled to what I have because me and my other friends and people, who I know and ever met were
Hardworking, pushed through the thick and thin to make it... Some achieved more, some less, but each of us tried our best...
We earned our spot through the sweat and tears and were not shy to do the most dirties job for peanuts. I remember very well my cleaning lady career in Borough Park and never shy of it. This was my best training of acceptance and humbleness, which I took with not right away with gratitude, but later with appreciation.
I am from Ukraine, and support my native country and Ukrainian people with all my heart not only emotionally, but financially and with any other deeds, which I do not publish. Yet, in the same time, these type of cheap manipulations about entitlement and war situation in Ukraine does not sound right...
If you are calling to me from American phone number and you are here, you are SAFE... You are fine... Time to work people... And you do not have obligation to become my clients, as well you are obligated to have a license, or certificate, when you want to get a decent pay and feel a human been...
I know, that many people this message might dissapoint, but at the same time, who knows me personally, they used to my straight shots...
