Early childhood is celebrating the lunar new year! They learned about the folktale of Nian and that it is the year of the dragon. Students in Ms. Wu’s kindergarten class all had an opportunity to be a part of the classroom lion dance as each child drummed. The 3K students created collaged dragons during art class with Ms. Gatoff.

Welcome to Spanish class where the students have been celebrating Hispanic Heritage month by honoring all Latin American cultures. The classes have been learning about the meaning of this celebration, the names of all Spanish speaking countries and where they are located. There’s been tons of singing, hands-on activities and of course FUN!

On Monday 6/12/2023, members of the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Refuge Team featured in a documentary We Dare to Dream, met with 4th graders to discuss their lives. The film’s director Oscar nominated Waad Al-Kateab led the conversation where the athletes talked about the hard work and determination it takes to make their dreams come true.
