“대한독립 만세”를 외쳤던 그날을 기억하며, 오늘 우리는 자유와 용기의 의미를 아이들과 함께 이야기합니다.

우리 아이들이 자랑스러운 한국인으로,
또 세상을 밝히는 작은 빛으로 자라길 바랍니다.

As we remember the day when voices rose to declare “Long live Korean independence,”
we talk with our children about freedom and courage.

May they grow up proud of their heritage and become little lights that shine brightly in the world.

🌟
As the end of the year approaches, we wanted to give a shoutout to one of our alumni! 🌟

O attended NabiTokki as a preschooler, and all these years later is still one of our biggest supporters. 🥰Here are some of the drawings she’s made for us!

❄️ Winter winds are here, but we’re brave and cozy!

This week in NabiTokki classroom, we sang a song about the wind and being brave. Try it at home with your little one:

• 바람 불어도 괜찮아! → It’s okay if the wind blows!
→ We’re brave!
→ My gloves keep me warm!

🎵 Sing, act it out, and have fun together!

Growing up as a Korean American, we hear both “감사합니다” and “고맙습니다”.
But what’s the real difference?
Here’s a simple guide to help you sound more natural in Korean and understand the warmth behind each expression.
So for this thanksgiving day, which one shall we say 고맙습니다 or 감사합니다? ☺️🧡

🇰🇷✨ Happy 한글날 from NabiTokki! ✨🇰🇷

So we celebrated by reading a story about Hangul and King Sejong the Great and making our own beautiful 한글 art. Look how creative and fun these masterpieces came out!

Every day during circle time, our NabiTokki friends sing the 가나다 한글노래 so they already know how special 한글 is! 💛
Swipe to see the video of our 가나다 한글노래! Some of our friends just learned it a few weeks ago and everyone knows the lyrics by heart! 🥰

Today is Korean Alphabet Day, otherwise known as Hangeul Day (Korean: 한글날).

Hangul is one of the few writing systems where the founder and the founding dates are known. The day is also dedicated to commemorating the achievements of King Sejong, the founder of Hangul.
