Our studentsโ government worked hard to bring their very first Spring Fling to lifeโand what a celebration it was! ๐ธ๐
From the egg hunt to great music, โPin the Bunny,โ and a fun-filled balloon bash, the energy was unmatched. ๐ฐ๐ถ๐
Of course, no event is complete without treatsโsnacks, pizza, cake, cookies, and candy were all on deck! ๐๐ช๐ฌ
Shoutout to everyone who helped make this event a success and to all who came out to enjoy the fun. So much more to come in 2027

In 9th grade ELA we are honoring poetry month, analyzing how structure impacts meaning, using free verse poetry to authentically voice perspective using imagery, figurative language and emotion.
Students were able to choose their own topic and write their own free verse poem. ๐ค๐๏ธ๐โจ๐น

Mr Hakim & Ms. Allsop organized a trip to the American Museum of Natural History and the United Nations where students learned more about the role of the United nations in the world along with the history and connection of America around the world.
They were joined by His Excellency Ambassador Luemba and Ms. Carly strategic relationship director to the mayors office

Autism awareness at CHS. ๐งฉ๐
Choosing to honor and accept everyone as they are.
Student Government spent part of the day giving out gave bracelets and pins to to our student and staff
Dressed in blue autism tshirts they stood proud knowing that they were part of the awareness and acceptance journey of those on the spectrum.

Today, students stepped into the role of scientistsโanalyzing real-world data, building evidence-based arguments, and defending their claims using CER (Claim, Evidence, Reasoning).
This is what science literacy looks like: thinking critically, writing with purpose, and connecting science to the world beyond the classroom.
FutureScientists
