We closed out our Peer Leaders Retreat on a high note! 💪🏽 Our 8th-grade leaders took on the high ropes course, challenging themselves to step outside their comfort zones, build courage, and work together as a team.

Throughout the retreat, our students faced fears, strengthened their connections, and discovered the power of supporting one another. We wrapped up feeling more united than ever, with fears conquered, confidence growing, and our future leaders ready to lead! 🦁💙

What an incredible two days of growth, teamwork, and leadership. The journey is just beginning!

🔥 DAY 1: PEER LEADERS PROGRAM! 🔥

Day 1 is officially in the books! 💪🏽 Our 8th-grade Peer Leaders kicked off their experience with a full day of learning about different leadership styles, team building, and what it truly means to be a great peer leader.

From taking on the low ropes course to enjoying a campfire sing-along 🎶🔥 and participating in team-building activities, our students stepped outside their comfort zones, strengthened their connections, and began building a stronger bond as a team.

Day 1 was a success, and we’re excited to see the growth, leadership, and memories tomorrow will bring! 🌟

Great leaders don’t just lead — they inspire others to lead, too! 🦁💙

🦁🏈 HUGE SHOUTOUT TO OUR B2 LIONS FLAG FOOTBALL TEAM! 🏈🦁

Our Lions came in STRONG today, taking on a back-to-back doubleheader and walking away with TWO BIG WINS! 🔥💪🏽

Our team showed out, communicated, worked together, supported one another, and most importantly, kept their heads in the game! The teamwork, determination, and Lions Pride were on full display. 🦁💙

We couldn’t be prouder of our team and the way they represented B2 today!

👏🏽 Congratulations on the FIRST 2 WINS OF THE SEASON!

Today, we hosted our first round of interviews with our alumni and students from our high school community! 🎓

With the support of the Legacy Network, we’re excited to make this opportunity possible and offer 7-month internships where students will work alongside our team, supporting our after-school program on a daily basis — all while earning money! 💼💰

Through this experience, students will gain:
✨ Professional development
✨ Real-world work experience
✨ Valuable career skills
✨ Leadership and responsibility
✨ An opportunity to discover and develop their passions

We’re proud to invest in our students beyond the classroom and create opportunities that prepare them for their future. The goal is simple: give our young people real experiences, real skills, and real opportunities to grow.

We can’t wait to see what this next chapter brings! 🚀

This weekend, in collaboration with Brooklyn United, we hosted an amazing Parent & Student Drumming and Dance Expo!

Students had the opportunity to participate in exciting drumming and dance workshops, while parents joined workshops designed to bring our families together through movement, culture, and creativity.

It was incredible seeing our B2 community come out, participate, learn, and have fun together! 🙌🏾

A huge thank you to Brooklyn United for partnering with us and helping make this experience possible. We’re proud to continue creating opportunities that bring our students, families, and community together. ❤️

🇺🇸 We Remember. We Honor. We Will Never Forget.

Today, we pause as a school community to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to recognize the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who showed strength and compassion during one of our nation’s darkest moments.

We remember the families, communities, and countless individuals whose lives were forever changed.

September 11, 2001 — Forever Remembered. 🕊️🇺🇸
