Today, we’re excited to “Shine A Light” on Warren Snipe, who goes by the stage name “WAWA”. Warren is a deaf writer, wrapper, actor, and performer who was featured in the R&B artist Maxwell's "Fingers Crossed" lyric video and has completed an album called Deaf: So What.
Warren shows us that being deaf doesn’t limit an individual’s ability to thrive in the entertainment industry!

Here at Next Steps Services, Inc. we love to highlight other companies that are DHH inclusive and today we’re happy to shine a light on Starbucks Starbucks Coffee ☕]!
Over the Summer, one of our team members visited a Starbucks and was pleasantly surprised to see multiple staff members who are part of the DHH community and she immediately felt a sense of pride to be supporting a company who’s values align with ours.
Starbucks strives to provide a Starbucks experience that is culturally sensitive and inclusive of Deaf etiquette. In addition, they provide training, including American Sign Language as well as a “Creating a Deaf Friendly Environment” course, to help engage our partners in delivering an accessible environment for all.
Fun Fact - Starbucks Coffee ☕] also has a highlight on their IG page called “ASL” that teaches you how to sign some of their most popular drink orders!
What other companies that you know about or are owner of, that is DHH inclusive? Tag them below so we can highlight them!
