Getting to know each other as we get to know our LEGO characters! This summer we did a lot of community building and making connections using g a group’s interests in LEGO characters. We are looking forward to getting to know all of our new characters this fall!

It’s been a busy, fun summer exploring our neighborhood on treasure quests, making characters and solving sticky problems. The summer intensives were so fun- can’t wait to see what the fall will bring!

LEGO coding has been a hit during our summer intensives! We are using the coding kits to expand on children’s stories and ideas during play. Seen here is a river ferry to help us cross the River Styx…of course!

Summer has begun at PlayGroup! We’ve had epic hide and seeks, neighborhood walks, haunted weddings and many more opportunities for regulation and connection! Can’t wait to see what other connections the rest of the summer will bring!

Role playing! When role playing different social skills, it is more engaging when we involve interests. Pokémon’s and lions…let’s role playing how to start a conversation!

Sometimes books aren’t *just* right, so we make them our own! We love the book I Forgive Alex by Marie Pommpuy, and we added a little PlayGroup magic to make it fit our interests!

We’ve had some fussy customers at PlayGroup! The lion hair salon has many stylists working together to give some fussy lions the PERFECT hairdo. The children are learning to play together and that perfect isn’t really possible. All while having fun and getting creative with hair!
