Due to the extreme cold forecasted, all school and district programming will be canceled starting at 6 p.m. tonight through tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, for the safety of students and staff. The National Weather Service’s extreme cold warning starting at 6 p.m. states that wind chills will be dangerous enough to cause frostbite in as little as 10 minutes – conditions that also significantly increase the likelihood of bus delays and malfunctions. This means buildings will be closed from 6 p.m. tonight through 6 a.m. Saturday.
Before- and after-school/evening activities
*All after-school activities will conclude no later than 6 p.m. tonight, Thursday, Jan. 22.
*All before- and after-school/evening activities are canceled tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 23.
School day
*No eLearning or other online learning will occur tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 23.
Unless notified otherwise, students will be expected to attend school as scheduled on Monday, Jan. 26. Devices are being sent home in case this should change.
