As was announced in Worship this morning we will holding a Special Congregational Meeting on Sunday, MAY 10 - Immediately following Worship. The purpose of this meeting is to vote to call the next Pastor that the Call Team has chosen and the Council has approved.

Christmas Story Trifles during our Pajama Party

This morning’s installment of Children’s Ministry needs its own post…Today’s scripture gave us the story of the Sadducee’s questioning Jesus in an attempt to trip him up (newsflash, they don’t get the answer they are expecting)

So our activity was to think of a question - ANY question that they would want to ask Jesus…here are just a few

* How are axolotls made alive?
* What is your middle name?
* What is your last name?
* What is it like in the after life?
And finally
* Do you know what 100+100 is?

Good gosh these young people are full of surprises

Tonight and this past Sunday our young people talked about All Saints - a day that is set aside to remember those who have gone before us

In both Children’s Ministry and Middle School Ministry we focused first on ourselves and how we, as earthly saints, can continue to shine God’s light and love (indicated by the handprints on the banners).

We then focused on those saints who have gone before us (indicated by the clouds around the outside). We celebrated and remembered the ways they have shown us the love and light of Jesus

The Ministry Site Profile (MSP) committee would like your insight into the kind of leadership we are hoping to attract to Prince of Peace. Our hope is that in seeking the following information, it will give us the opportunity to faithfully complete the MSP documents according to the will of the Spirit as it is working in the Prince of Peace community. By thoughtfully addressing these areas, we can create a MSP that is not only a practical tool for the call process, but also a meaningful exercise in self-discernment that will prepare us for a successful new chapter in our ministry as a community of faith in the promises of God's Grace.

Something to keep in mind: Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that there "is a time for everything." As for this survey, we ask that you be forward thinking with your responses. No doubt, your responses will be grounded in your passions, faith, and perhaps, your critique of the past. For now, please try to keep your comments focused on how you would like things to be in the future of Prince of Peace.

This week our Children’s Ministry and Middle School Ministry heard the Parable of the Mustard Seed…Increase our faith they asked

Our Children’s Ministry took this opportunity to use tiny beads to make a cross as a reminder of the basis of our faith

Middle School Ministry focused on the following categories of something they WISH they could do, something they are LEARNING to do, something they CAN do, and all the things GOD can do. They then made Faith folders where they listed the people who help them grow in their faith and the actions they do to help them grow in their faith. We then acknowledged that while sometimes our faith feels small, it can increase
