Fastenal has been an incredible partner of CBVAT since the 2021–2022 school year! 🤝

Each year, our students have taken on a different project, building valuable workplace skills along the way. Some of the projects we’ve completed include:

🔧 Replacing hardware in clamps
📦 Packaging gloves in different sizes and quantities
🛠️ Reworking thousands of kits by replacing plastic components with metal parts

Last year brought our most complex project yet! Students followed detailed grids at CBVAT to package at least eight different kit variations, each featuring different parts and quantities. 📋

We’re so grateful for Fastenal’s continued partnership and for the meaningful, hands-on work experiences they provide our students.

We can’t wait to see what projects this year have in store! 🚀

CBVAT always works hard right until the end! In late April we were tasked with packaging 17,500 of these kits.
We ran out of supplies twice so we could have finished.
However, we did complete 15,284 kits!!!
Great end to the year.
No job is too big or too small for this team. Have a wonderful summer!

While some places wind down for spring, CBVAT amps up!

We are doing our annual packing of the Maple Grove Famers Market bags, with swag and seeds from local companies.

CBVAT also has one more kit job for Fastenal this spring and aiming to complete as many of these small, yet tricky kits. We’re at 4,000! That means, separating the bags from a roll, putting a label on each bag, packaging the items in the bag, then heat sealing them. Many steps to make each one.
