This is the start of a great partnership! We’re super excited to be joining forces with St. Cloud State University to offer graduate classes on our campus through this new partnership.
We will begin delivering our Twin Cities graduate programs in partnership with North Hennepin Community College (NHCC) at NHCC’s Brooklyn Park campus in Fall 2026. The move will take effect Monday, August 3, transitioning programs currently offered at SCSU’s Plymouth location to NHCC.
North Hennepin Community College and St. Cloud State University are sister institutions within the Minnesota State system, and this collaboration reflects a shared commitment to student success, access, and efficient use of public resources.

Last night, students in NHCC's Be Bold Break the Mold program came together for their annual end-of-semester Final Celebration!
Instead of keeping with the usual Final Celebration speeches and awards ceremony, this year looked a little different! Be Bold Director, Maria Vittone, hired Emily Lund of Howdy Partner Line Dancing, to teach the gals (& their mentors) how to dance (& she was a blast!) The Final Celebration also included a BBQ-themed meal from Brisbane’s Revenge, a group wall art project, AND finished off with confetti cannons!
Thanks to our participants and to Maria Vittone for creating a space where female students in non-traditional career fields can feel uplifted and inspired! Cheers to another amazing year!

Last week, five student officers from NHCC’s Kappa Beta Delta Business Club had the opportunity to present a full social media marketing strategy to a real-world client, The Rotary Club of Maple Grove.
Originally prepared to hire a social media consultant, The Rotary Club of Maple Grove instead got a 100+ page digital marketing strategy and content package created entirely by NHCC students Noah Plahn, Juan Deleon, Norma Soriano, Exocee Bulonza, and Muna Wazwaz.
Bright and early, last Tuesday morning, our students came ready to shine, presenting their work to the Rotary board and to NHCC leadership, impressing everyone in the room with their professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail.
Real-world opportunities like this leave a lasting impact on our students that will benefit them for years to come. Thanks to these incredible student leaders for representing NHCC and KBD so well!

We had LOTS to celebrate in the month of May. Including our newest class of Bemidji State University Biology partnership student graduates! The ceremony was extra special this year, as it marked NHCC and BSU's 10th graduating class, (bringing our total to 121 graduates since 2016). To commemorate the milestone, biology alumni were invited back to attend the ceremony, and reception. Congratulations on your achievements, graduates, and we wish you all the best in your future endeavors!

Please join us in congratulating NHCC English faculty, Kelly Lundquist, on winning a Minnesota Book Award for Memoir & Creative Nonfiction earlier this month at The Ordway in St. Paul!
After receiving the award, Kelly shared: “I was thrilled and shocked! I didn’t think I was going to win. At all. But it meant the world to me. And especially since so many people I love were there— family and friends— to support me. We had a whole row.
