Brooklyn Center ECFE

Brooklyn Center ECFE Early Childhood Education (ECFE) is a program for parents and children birth to age five. BOTH CLASSES MEET AT BROOKLYN CENTER ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

ECFE is a program offered by the Brooklyn Center School district to help support families. We offer classes for parents and their children ages birth to age 5(before Kindergarten). In our mixed age classes parents have the opportunity to separate to another classroom to discuss parenting issues. We offer two classes on Wednesdays:
-Afternoon class from 2:30pm to 3:45pm. This is a class for childre

n ages birth to five years old (before Kindergarten) as well as siblings that are grades Kindergarten through fifth grade. This is a bilingual class for Spanish and English speakers.
-Evening class from 6pm to 7:30pm. This is a seperating class for children ages birth to 5 (before Kindergarten) and their parents. Address: 1500 59th Ave N. Brooklyn Center, MN 55430

Reminder that there will be no ECFE CLASSES THIS WEDNESDAY, March 27th because of spring break!!!
We will also NOT HAVE ECFE CLASS (there will be regular school) on WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6th as well due to staffing!
We hope you enjoy these next two weeks off with your family!

Because of the rise in COVID cases and the shortage of staff, the Brooklyn Center School District has decided to go to virtual learning until January 31st. This means we will be meeting virtually on Zoom for the next three weeks (today the 12th, 19th, 26th) for our ECFE classes!!
If you would like the Zoom link to join us at either our 2:30 or 6pm class, please comment below or send us a message!
We hope you can still join us from the comfort of your home for some songs, stories and parent education discussions!

Happy New Year!
Brooklyn Center Schools will begin ECFE classes on Wednesday January 12, 2022.

Join us for Early Childhood Family Education classes with your newborn to preschool aged child at either class offered:
1) an afternoon class from 2:30 - 3:45pm. This class also has sibling care for kids grades Kindergarten through 5th grade.
2) an evening class from 6:00 to 7:30pm.

Both classes are located at Brooklyn Center Elementary School!

Today we start our ECFE classes!
We will be offering two Wednesday classes:
-After school class from 2:30pm to 3:45 pm. This class is available for parents and children ages birth to five, but we will also offer sibling care for any families that have children ages Kindergarten to 5th grade. We will also offer a bilingual (Spanish/English) parent education time.
-Evening class from 6 to 7:30pm for parents and children ages birth to 5.

We have two ECFE Classes left for the school year! We will be meeting this Wednesday, May 26th and next Wednesday June 2nd at 6pm at Grandview Park (next to Brooklyn Center Elementary School). We will play, sing songs, and read a story in person! There will also be a parent educator there to discuss any parenting challenges you would like help with!!
Please wear a mask and dress appropriately for the weather!

Winter virtual ECFE classes are happening now!!
We will be meeting virtually on Zoom every Wednesday night at 6pm! If you would like the Zoom link to join, please PM me!
We always read a fun story, sing songs and dance and have wonderful parent education discussions! We hope you will join us!!
