We’re celebrating the summer and upcoming school year with a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family, right at the market!
Join us for:
- A FREE backpack with supplies giveaway beginning at 2:00 PM (first come, first served — children must be present)
- Music & lawn games
- Kids’ activities
- Food truck
- Local vendors

It’s the perfect chance to grab school supplies, enjoy time together, and shop the market—all in one place. Bring your littles and join the fun on Thursday, August 14th!

Osseo Adult Basic Education (ABE) offers FREE classes for adults. English classes, GED prep classes, and more! Fall classes begin September 2. Details at District279.org/ABE.

The first step to enrolling in is to fill out our online registration form. Go to District279.org/ABE and click on the “Start” button.

After you complete the registration form, we will contact you to schedule an in-person intake session. At the intake session you will learn more about our program, take assessment tests, and learn the next steps to starting classes with . The in-person registration session may take about 4 hours.

Tomorrow is our next Fresh Produce Tuesday at the CAPI Food Shelf!

Held at 6064 Shingle Creek Parkway, Brooklyn Center, we will be distributing bags of free fresh fruits and vegetables to anyone in the community who is seeking food support.

The event is open to the public and will take place from 12pm-2pm. The event is usually held in the parking lot, but if rainy weather persists, it will be moved inside the food shelf.

Future Dates: August 12th & 26th, September 9th & 23rd, October 7th
