Be The Parent You Want To Be

Be The Parent You Want To Be Do you ever feel frustrated with your child? Find yourself shouting and imposing consequences in reaction to challenging behavior?

Giving parents concrete strategies to relate better to their kids, reduce challenging behavior and build their child's skills in self-regulation, communication and problem solving. Do you wish you had a more effective parenting approach that also helps to build a better relationship between you and your child? The Collaborative Problem Solving approach, created by Massachusetts General Hospital's

Think:Kids program, provides parents with concrete tools to better understand and help children (ages 3+) and adolescents with challenging behavior. It’s based on the understanding that many kids lack the skill, not the will, to behave well – specifically skills related to problem solving, flexibility and frustration tolerance. CPS helps parents to:

* Foster positive relationships with their child/teenager
* Reduce their child/teen’s challenging behavior
* Solve problems collaboratively and proactively
* Build their child/teen's skills in self-regulation,
communication and problem-solving

Introductory and advanced workshops in CPS will provide you with a compassionate overarching parenting philosophy and concrete tools for a practical and powerful approach to parenting your unique child.
