Park Athletics have maintained a proud tradition since the school's founding in 1912. In our Centennial year, we thought it prudent to take advantage of today's technology to reconnect with past and present Bruins, while introducing ourselves formally to the greater community. At Park, athletics are an extension of the classroom in that athletes remain students even upon stepping between the lines
. Athletes here learn to marry independent thinking, so encouraged in their academic studies, with the communal goals shared by teammates and coaches. Sports are our passion, but they do not rule our lives. We are about winning, of course, but Park foremost strives to produce adults who are multifaceted and balanced, empathetic and sportsmanlike. Physical challenges on the fields and courts translate into intellectual and life lessons; and victories, while every Bruin's ambition, are not the ultimate one.
