Dear Parents,

I cannot believe we are so incredibly close to the end of the school year. I have loved having each and everyone of your kiddos this year. I am going to put some very important information in this email so please read and save so that you can refer back to it as needed.

First, NEXT Tuesday and Wednesday we will begin our end of the ATLAS testing. This is the state mandated testing.
Tuesday the 22nd we will complete sections 1 and 2 of the Reading Assessment
Wednesday the 23rd we will complete sections 3 and 4 of the Reading Assessment
Wednesday the 30th we will complete the Math Assessment

PLEASE do your best to have your child here on time these days and if at all possible please do not miss these days. They will have to make the test up at a later date if they are absent. I do understand sickness and things come up but if at all possible please have them here at school with a full belly ready to ROCK THAT TEST. I feel that students will do better if they are taking the assessment with their peers rather than making it up while their peers are doing something else.

5 Week Reports will be coming home on Thursday the 24th.

May 7th is the teacher appreciation luncheon. I am in need of 2 parents to come and sit with the kiddos while I attend the luncheon. Please let me know if you are interested. The time would be from 11:15-1 (ish).

May 13 Cooperative Game Day and Picnic (see flyer attached)
May 19 AR Reward trip Miracle League Park (more information to come)
May 22 Bounce Houses and Sno Cones
May 28 last day of school

So proud of our Blakely! It’s not easy to read aloud to your peers!

Mrs. Allen’s class had a very special mystery reader this morning! Our very own Blakely read a Cinderella Story to end our recent fairy tales unit!

I am aware that I did not send a newsletter home yesterday. My computer is down and I have no way to print. Thankfully there are no spelling words to study this week. It is a review week and we will be taking a unit test on Friday. Vocabulary lesson 12 assessment will be next Wednesday and I will get those to you asap! I will also get the April calendar out asap as well. So sorry for the inconvenience.
