6 HOSA students and myself are at the Sanford Sights and Sounds today. So far, we have completed a patient simulation, ear exam, breathing exam, and ultrasound. Sooooo awesome!!!!

HOSA students attended the fall leadership academy today. The afternoon sessions included taping ankles, making a dental mold, applying a tourniquet, and administering and IM shot!

Students went to the Sanford Research Center today to dissect cow eye, simulate gene therapy, and learn about Gene therapy!

We are back!!!! The Brookings High School school will have a chapter this year! We have monthly tours of health professions or speakers, attend scrubs camps, leadership conferences and will compete in a health event at state in Sioux Falls. There will be a sign up at registration next week August 16th and 17th! A former HOSA member right here at her nursing pinning ceremony!

HOSA is having a blood drive! The red cross will be at the high school (lunch commons area) February 26th from 1-7. Please donate! You can go to redcrossblood.org and schedule your appointment! Enter brookings high school as your code. The more pints of blood that are donated the more scholarship money that a senior/seniors will receive!

Yesterday these 4 fabulous girls spent the day at USD learning how to become better leaders! They were excited when thinking about how they can get their fellow HOSA members more involved!
