SDState - Equine Teaching Facility -Horse Unit

SDState - Equine Teaching Facility -Horse Unit The SDSU horse barn was built in 1925 and has had Quarter Horses in the herd since the 1950's. Today, the unit housing approximately 50 Quarter Horses.

The horses are used to teaching students through SDSU's Equine Studies minor and many other events.

Advanced Riding group did something a little different! Students were introduced to the English saddle! I think after one day and a trail ride on that little saddle they all prefer the western saddle!
Along for the session was John Henry the mule sporting the Tucker endurance saddle and Josie.
