One day parents were bringing their little children to Jesus so that he could bless them. The disciples told them to go away and this made Jesus upset! He said do not hinder them because the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. He knew the importance of children because they are the future. It’s important to invest in the lives of children and do not push them away. Not only did he bless them but he loved them and the same is true today. We have sang a lot of songs about this as well as reading the story. Jesus loves me, Jesus loves the little children, and Jesus loves the little ones like me, me, me!

We reviewed our E is for Everyone rhyme, which is about Jesus loving everyone. I asked them about the children in the picture. They wanted to talk about all the fun things they were doing, which we did. But also Jesus loves every one! And the only thing we could find in the picture that started with E was the elephant slide. They also colored an egg page.

On the other side there’s an egg poem:

Some eggs are big.
Some eggs are little.
Some eggs fall right in the middle.

Oops adding in Reese’s picture of him. He was very happy about it! When you edit the post, it puts the new picture first!

It was a super chill morning with a lot of one on one time with Reese. But then Silas showed up and the silly boys were back to their usual stuff. 😂

Birds again? Well yes a little bit. We talked about how birds lay eggs in their nests until the babies hatch. We looked at pictures of birds and eggs and nests. We read the story The Best Nest. In this story we learned that sometimes what you had at first was better than finding something new.

We glued little eggs on nests and then we counted the nests. 1,2,3,4,5! They really like counting! Then we brought out our dot markers and put dots on the number 5.

We finished up our macaroni ovals and we even added some stickers for a little extra pizazz! 🥰 Then we did a trace the lines page and on the other side a coloring page with a rabbit looking at a field of yummy carrots.

We wrapped up our morning with playing with toys and we switched toys every 5 minutes. They don’t see these toys all the time so it’s always a fun time!

One of their favorite activities 5 minute timer for each toy! Sorry weird camera angles!

Just playing!

Does anyone remember back in July when we dyed macaroni noodles? Yeah that was fun! Well we brought them back out today and glued them on the oval shape. I probably should have used thicker paper but oh well I guess this will do. Maybe after they’re dry tomorrow we could glue the oval on card stock. 🤔.

Anyway, we’re going to do a lot about food this week and especially eggs because E is for eggs!

We introduced the letter E with an E page and talked about what was on the page that starts with E. Envelope, Elephant, Elbow and Eggs. We went over our kitchen utensils vocabulary pictures and food vocabulary pictures.

And also from the book Big Thoughts for Little People….
E is for Everyone. God loves us all.
The black and the white
And the short and the tall.

They looked at the picture and pointed out all the children that were playing and having fun. And we found a few ladybugs too because the author has them hidden on every page.

Before we went outside we had a special visitor (Jeff’s mom) read us a story, Owl Babies. Then we did a cute owl craft. I know owls aren’t actually yellow, but it was the color of the week. And I think they’re cute! And they had fun playing in the water today.
