With classes back in session for the 2022-2023 school year we are excited to welcome back all our teaching staff as virtual class rooms will not be, being used this year. We think both the students and the teachers/instructors are excited about that. We will also be concluding our extended phone privileges effective Saturday, September 10th 2022 at 07:30. Visiting hours have been returned to normal as our mask mandate comes to a close. We would like to welcome back our full time Dean of the Athletics Department Watch Captain Matthew Gallagher as he will be taking over this department full time this year. He has brought many new plans and activities forward for this school year including swimming lessons for our clients/students. Captain Gallagher has plans to make full use of our newly built Athletics wing so parents and Guardians of our clients can be assured thier Juveniles will be having a much more active life and community starting this year. As always if you have any questions feel free to reach out to either your Squadron Communications Officer, or you can now call the Athletics department directly at the number we have provided with this year's information packet.
We at A.Y.A hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend and a safe and enjoyable summer.

So some good news for our parents and guardians in this COVID-19 update from our parent company Abraxas Corrections!! Alexanders Youth Academy is finally permitted to open for face-to-face visitations with some restrictions:
-All visitors wishing to visit their child or dependent MUST wear a CDC approved mask (bandanas, scarfs or rolled t-shirts wrapped around the mouth and nose will not suffice for admission past the main gate) throughout the entirety of the visit. There will be disposable medical masks provided daily WHILE SUPPLIES LAST as you check-in but AYA highly suggests you bring your own as quantities are limited.
-All visitations will be hosted in the Alpha Hall ONLY, no individual squadron bay visitation halls will be open for the safety and health of our students/clients and those visiting. Unfortunately, the Alpha Hall will be split in half by a Plexiglas wall/shield as per the CDC guidelines and due to this physical contact between the visitors and the student/client will be unavailable. The visiting area WILL have both desks and chairs across from each other surrounded by semi-privet cubicles to provide the best possible space for the visitation.
-And finally: All visitations will be limited to a maximum of an hour per day and by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Please contact your child/dependent’s Squadron Communications Office to obtain an appointment.
We will continue to maintain the increased phone privileges that we have provided throughout this outbreak. As always we would like to thank those who have worked well with us in keeping our Youths safe, we will be continuing to update these parents and guardians on the status of our Youths and our elevated health security policies. Amongst these unprecedented times during the COVID-19 outbreak we at both Alxenaders Youth Academy and our parent company Abraxas Corrections have put our focus 100% on keeping out students and staff as safe and isolated from this virus to the best of our abilities by limiting exposure to the outside world. We realize this has been a difficult time for our student's parents and guardians we would like to thank those who have worked well with us in keeping our Youths safe we will be continuing to update these parents and guardians on the status of our Youths as well as maintaining the increased phone privileges that we have provided throughout this outbreak. We are proud to say here at Alexander's Youth Academy we have maintained a zero number outbreak among our students however we continue to run our onsite medical clinic at 90% efficiency and staff support at 85% during this health crisis. So we would also like to thank our staff members for thier continued support as well. Stay safe, stay home, stay healthy

Congrats to our AYA, Hetairoi AKA Companions, Our facilities Basketball team as we have finished our regular season with a winning record of 12W-4L so we are off to playoffs this weekend. We wish our Hetairoi's the best of luck and looking for another Abraxas League Regional Championships this season.

We at Abraxas would like to congratulate our three newly graduated Praetorian Guard Captains! For Alexander's Youth Academy. Congratulations to PGC Jenna Neives, Matthew Gallagher, and Michael Brown!! They have worked hard and tirelessly all month to complete thier required training. We hope thier respective Cohorts (Squadrons) are as happy to have them as we were to teach them.

Congrats to our AYA, Hetairoi AKA Companions, Our facilities Baseball team as we have won 3rd place in the Abraxas League Regional Championships in New York. Well played boys we will get them next year, enjoy your ribbons and your badges.
