OSSD Elementary Summer Program
From July 8 through Aug 2nd, OSSD will be offering a free elementary summer program for students from Braintree Elementary School, Brookfield Elementary School, and Randolph Elementary School.
The program will run from 7:45 am to 12:15 pm Monday through Friday at the Braintree Elementary School campus. Busing will be provided both morning and afternoon. Bus routes to be set and announced at a later date. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Each day will include math, literacy and fun activities. Daily programing will include activities to engage students:
Cooking
Sports
Robotics
Science Experiments
Outdoor Adventures
Art & Music

Brookfield Early Education Program has openings in our four year old public preschool program. Hours are 8:00-2:30 Monday-Thursday and the program is completely free. The preschool is led by a certified teacher and experienced para educators and includes plenty of time outside in our forest classroom. There is an open house this Thursday, September 21 from 5:30 until 6:30. This is for K thru 6 Grade. We will have food from RTCC's Food Truck. Menu Includes: Mac and Cheese, American Chop Suey, Roasted Vegetables, Pulled Pork Buns, Garden salad with a ranch maple balsamic and Rolls. Free of charge for families. We hope you can come and see what the kids are doing in their classrooms, meet your child(ren)'s teachers and learn about what we are going to be doing this year.

Mr. Hayward's 5/6 class and Mrs. Ferris's 4th grade class would like to go to the Tunbridge Fair on Thursday, September 14th. To make this field trip happen, we need chaperones. If you are willing to chaperone, please contact Lisa Becker or Cara Houston for the specific chaperone and volunteer forms you need for fingerprinting. The sooner you can get in to have your fingerprints done, the better.

Our public preschool program has openings for this school year for 3 and 4 year olds. We invite any OSSD family to request registration paperwork to enroll your child. Three year olds are invited to attend Monday-Thursday mornings and four year olds Monday-Thursday for full school day hours. All programs are free to district families. If you have a child who will be 5 years old by September 1st, 2023, please contact Lisa Becker at [email protected] or 802-276-3153 to add your child to our incoming kindergarten list for the 2023-2024 school year!
If your child currently attends one of our OSSD Preschool 4 year old programs, then we already have your child on our list but please feel free to reach out to us if your contact info has changed recently.

OSSD is now accepting applications for the 2023-2024 school year for our free public preschool programs for district children who will be 3 years old before September 1st. If you have a preschooler that is 3 or 4 years old and you are interested in having them attend preschool in the fall, please contact Stephanie Reyes at [email protected] or you may call 728-9555. We offer a morning program four days a week for 3 year olds and a full school day option for 4 year old children four days a week.

The Brookfield School Club has rescheduled the Bonfire Party for this Sunday, January 15th from 2-4pm behind the Brookfield School. Bring the whole family and join us! Gather around a warm fire, enjoy stories and songs with local musician Sandy McCall and storyteller Martha Hafner, and treat yourself to our hot beverage bar! We'll have cider and cocoa that kids can top off with whipped cream, marshmallow, candy canes, all the good stuff! The weather is looking decent, but if it takes a turn for the worse, then we'll move the party indoors and show a movie. Our fun and engaging district preschool programs are looking for substitutes Monday-Thursdays for this school year. If you are at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma this might be a good fit for you. We will provide training so no experience is necessary. School Club Meeting

We welcome all parents and guardians to join us for the first School Club meeting of the year! This group gets together on a monthly basis to coordinate fundraising and plan events that build connections among our school community and enhance learning and opportunities for all our kiddos.
