🌾🚜 THE FIRST-EVER BROOKFIELD FARM CRAWL IS COMING! 🚜🌾

On behalf of the Brookfield Agricultural Commission, we are so excited to officially share our first Brookfield Farm Crawl Map! 🎉

📅 Saturday, September 19th
⏰ 10 AM–3 PM

Spend the day exploring some of the incredible farms and agricultural businesses right here in Brookfield and our surrounding communities. Meet the farmers, see where your food is grown, experience local agriculture firsthand, and enjoy a fun day for the whole family!

Each participating farm will have something a little different to experience, so grab your map and make a day of it!

🌻🥕🌽 Calling all young gardeners! 🌽🥕🌻

Do you have a flower blooming in your yard or a veggie growing in your garden? We’d LOVE to have you join our Youth Veggie & Flower Contest this weekend!

🌼 Bring your entry to the Brookfield Agricultural Fair at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Whether it’s the biggest, brightest, funniest, or most unique, we can’t wait to see what you’ve grown!

😂 Let’s be honest… somewhere out there is an award-worthy “least desirable looking” green bean, cucumber, or tomato! We promise every garden has a story, and we’d love for you to share yours.

🌱 Growing isn’t about perfection…it’s about having fun, learning something new, and celebrating all the hard work that goes into a garden. We hope to see lots of young growers there!

☀️ 1 week from today we will be having our 3rd Annual Agricultural Fair on the Brookfield Common and we can’t wait!!🎉
🍔🥨 This year we will have two different food trucks! Smashing Patties & Boribites (pretzels)!
🌱Be ready to shop some small businesses, have a bite to eat, enter the kiddos into the veggie/flower contest, check out the library’s agricultural display and have a seat listening to Larry Lewis play his acoustic guitar!!
🍯🍁You’ll be able to purchase honey, maple syrup, watercolor painting, flowers, essential oil products, soap, woodwork items, local beer, pottery and more!
🐰🐮 Experience some rabbits, cows, goats and reptiles!
🥕🥦🌻We are looking for more kiddos to enter our vegetable & flower contest too!
🌱 There will be a seed swap too with TipTop Co-Op!
👀 Keep your eyes peeled this upcoming week for a little history coming to the common from Elm Hill Farm once again this year!! Last year we had a few things. Who remembers what they were?!? More to come…

💃🕺 This is shaping up to be a fantastic evening for an incredible cause!

❤️ All proceeds will benefit Wonderfund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting children involved with the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. Wonderfund helps bring comfort, dignity, and hope to children facing traumatic circumstances while creating opportunities to enrich the lives of those impacted by abuse and neglect. Kate shared that the funds raised from this event will directly benefit children here in Central Massachusetts.

🌱 Can’t make it? You can still make a difference! If you’d like to donate an item for the silent auction or raffle, please let me know. We’ll definitely be contributing to this wonderful cause and hope you’ll consider supporting it too!

🇺🇸 Today we celebrate 250 years of our nation’s history.

As we gather with family, friends, and neighbors, may we take a moment to be grateful for the freedoms we enjoy, for those who have sacrificed to protect them, and for the communities that make this country feel like home.

No matter where we come from or what our differences may be, today is a reminder to appreciate the blessings we share and to look ahead with hope for the generations to come.

Early this morning, Tom Hayes and Tyler Latour proudly raised Old Glory at Willow Brook with honor, respect, and deep appreciation for our country. It’s a beautiful reminder of the values and freedoms we celebrate today.
