Sam Hughes for Elmbrook School Board

04/08/2026

Hello friends,

I am sad to report that we did not get the results we hoped for in this election.

Our team worked harder than ever in this election to help secure the future of Elmbrook schools for the students in this community.

I want to thank all the supporters over these past three years and pray that this new team will lead Elmbrook schools to future success for all the families in this community. They depend on these candidates to make good, sound decisions.

As I finish these next few weeks in my role, I will give it 100% and do what I can to help the board transition to Elizabeth. I called and congratulated her in this victory a few hours ago.

I am extremely honored to have served these last three years in this role. God has taught me so much and I will be forever grateful. The Administrators, teachers and staff I have met are such amazing people and care so much for the children in the schools.

I will continue to fight for these students, but the fight will look different. God has different plans for me.

This is important.

Take a moment to read this powerful letter from Joe Marcello, whose father, Dave Marcello, ran against Ponto in the last election—and why that experience matters.

Then take action.

Tomorrow is the day! Make a plan right now to vote — put it on your calendar, set a reminder. Every single vote counts.

Vote for all three: Sam Hughes, Bob for Elmbrook Schools and Kevin For Elmbrook Schools.

If you live in Brookfield, you have a clear choice for mayor: Steve Ponto, a proven moderate, or Mike Hallquist, a FAR left progressive liberal whose proposed policies would significantly raise costs for Brookfield residents. businesses, and the school district. Outside progressive PACs have reportedly poured $50–100K into mailers trying to rebrand him as a moderate. Don't be fooled — look at the policies.

Vote tomorrow. Bring a friend.

Elmbrook—this is it. Final stretch.

There is ONE WEEK left to decide who will represent you on the Elmbrook School Board—and only **4 days of early in-person voting remain**.

Do not wait. Make a plan. Vote now.

In a race like this, a handful of votes can decide the outcome. That means your vote—and the people you turn out—can make all the difference.

Kevin, Bob, and I are running to ensure EVERY voice is heard as our district faces decisions that will shape Elmbrook for years to come.

Thank you to Rebecca Kleefisch for helping encourage voters to get out and vote.

Our community deserves ntegrity, accountability, and full transparency—and that only happens if YOU show up.

Vote early. Bring a friend. Remind your neighbors.
Let’s finish strong.

Hello Friends!! Come and visit me tonight!

Hello friends of Elmbrook.
Tuesday's board meeting was a demonstration of how I fight for your tax dollars and lead the fight for transparency with our community.

The district is sending out a survey about the facilities referendum — and it gives the impression this will only cost taxpayers $85 million. The real burden on local taxpayers? Closer to $154 million.

Let that sink in.

I pushed for the survey to give you the full picture. The vote was 5 to 2. Five board members voted against being fully transparent with you.

My opponent in this race went out of her way to speak up and voice support in favor of this misleading survey. That tells you something about how she'll vote in office.

This is how I fight for you. Sometimes I'm nearly a lone voice, but I will never stop pursuing truth and transparency with your tax dollars.

Vote early now through April 3rd, or on Election Day, April 7th. SamForElmbrook.com.
