Before children can read a word, they begin learning how language sounds.
Nursery rhymes give children opportunities to hear rhythm, repetition, rhyming words, and predictable patterns. While they are singing, clapping, and copying movements, they are also practicing listening, memory, pronunciation, and confidence.
This week at First Bloom Daycare, we are bringing familiar rhymes into our classroom through music, movement, storytelling, and play. Some children sing every word, some join through movement, and some prefer to watch before participating. Every response is part of the learning process.
Save this post and sing a favorite nursery rhyme with your child tonight. Families interested in learning more about First Bloom Daycare may message us to schedule a visit!
