Good evening Bronte ISD community,

As we near the start of early voting, you all will see a Bronte ISD proposition A on the ballot. In case you have any questions, this is the basic overview of the neccessaity of the proposition.

Due to increased property values, in conjuction with Bronte ISD being assigned State Value on the Comptroller PVS, Bronte ISD has been notified by TEA that we are now considered a “property wealthy” ISD and must pay recapture payments back to the State. If approved the District will pay that recapture payment, and any future recapture due to the State, by buying attendance credits from the State. If the Proposition fails then the State has the authority to either consolidate the district or annex property (give a portion of our district to a neighboring district) to reduce our “property wealth”.
As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact me by calling the school and I can answer any questions you may have.

Respectfully,
Mr. Siler
Bronte ISD Superintendent
