What a great way to start the school year!

Members of our officer team had the opportunity to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the Adams Land and Cattle Renewable Gas Facility.

Our officers welcomed guests, handed out water, and heard from government and industry leaders about the environmental and economic benefits the project is expected to bring.

Thank you to Adams Land & Cattle for letting us be a part of such a special day!

Our next SAE Spotlight is Aliya Myer!

Aliya currently works for S.I.R. Brothers LLC and Grandel Roofing and Construction.

Her responsibilities change depending on the job, but a normal day may include removal of cedar trees, cleaning up tree limbs, or adding plants and hardscape elements to lawns and gardens.

Through this experience, Aliya has learned how to operate several pieces of equipment, basic landscaping principles, and more about the business-managements aspects of the operation.

Kicking off our Officer Summer Recap!

As we get closer to the start of school, we’ll highlight what each of our officers were up to this summer and what they’re looking forward to this year!

Our next SAE Spotlight is Caleb Sughayar!

Caleb has been a member of the Runza team for the past year, where he works alongside others in the kitchen to prepare high-quality food for customers quickly and accurately.

Through this experience, Caleb has developed strong communication and teamwork skills while learning the importance of working efficiently under pressure.

He has also gained valuable experience in proper food safety, hygiene, and sanitation practices.

Can you diagnose what’s happening here?

We had a great time at the State Crop Scouting contest held at the Eastern Nebraska Research, Extension, and Education Center. 🌽

Students were put to the test by using practical agronomic skills including:

- Scouting Corn and Soybeans
- Determining Growth Stages
- Providing Herbicide Recommendations
- Calculating Stand Counts
- Estimating Yields
- Identifying Diseases and Insect Pests
- Interpreting Data from Drone Imagery
