Welcome to the Union 8th Grade Center, part of the Union Public Schools district! Union Public Schools is a suburban school district – the eighth largest in Oklahoma – serving over 15,000 students, grades pre-K through 12, in southeast Tulsa and part of Broken Arrow. We gave away our first SOAR prizes at lunch today! Students received SOAR cards for their grades, behavior, and attendance during 4th quarter of 7th grade. Students can work towards getting a SOAR card each quarter!

In its first year as a recognized Community School, the Union 8th Grade Center will host weekly lunch chats during its three lunch periods, continuing a tradition the students had enjoyed at the Union 6th and 7th Grade Centers.

Community Schools Coordinator Dr. Grace Markes, who served in the same position at the seventh grade last year, now oversees the eighth grade program.

Today was the first lunch chat and students who joined had the opportunity to play games in Markes' office. Future lunch chats may feature special speakers or activities with the idea that the lunch chats help grow bonds and foster a strong sense of community for the grade level.

8th grade students and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Student must have their IDs to enter the game.
No outside food or drinks. No backpacks allowed.
No RE-ENTRY for anyone (students, adults, etc.). Once you leave the game, you will not be allowed to re-enter.
