💙 LEISURE PARK UNIFIED CHAMPIONS! 💙

Leisure Park is looking for 3rd, 4th & 5th grade students who want to help create a more inclusive school community!

Unified Champions will serve as peer partners, helping plan activities and find ways to include students with special needs in everyday activities at Leisure Park. 🤝

To participate, students must:
✨ Maintain good grades
✨ Complete classroom assignments
✨ Attend the monthly peer meeting
✨ Be kind and inclusive to ALL students
✨ Complete the application

📅 Applications are due to Mrs. Free by October 2nd.

📄 Parents can print from the attached images, or students can pick up a copy from Mrs. Free’s classroom.

🍫🎟️ WE HAVE GOLDEN TICKET WINNERS! 🎟️🍫

The chocolate sales are still underway, and a few lucky Leisure Park Tigers have officially found the Golden Ticket in their chocolate boxes! 🐯✨

These students earned multiple chances by selling multiple boxes, and their hard work paid off! Each Golden Ticket winner is taking home a 1-POUND BAR OF CHOCOLATE! 😳🍫

The kids are thrilled.
The parents… well… we almost feel like we should apologize. 😂

Reminder: There is no school tomorrow, Sept. 11, due to a professional day, which gives our teachers and staff time to engage in training, planning and collaboration.

🚨 IMPORTANT MORNING ARRIVAL REMINDER

Parents and caregivers, we need your help keeping morning arrival safe for all of our students.

⏰ 8:40 AM = DOORS CLOSE

If you arrive and the front doors are already closed, the curb drop-off window has ended.

👉 Please do not drop your child off at the curb.
👉 Please do not leave them at the entrance.
👉 Please do not expect them to go inside on their own.

If you see the doors are closed, please park and walk your child into the school office to check in.

We understand that mornings don’t always go according to plan, but this procedure is about student safety and accountability. Once the doors are closed, we need to know that every student entering the building is accounted for.

📣 LP PTA ANNOUNCEMENTS! 📣

We have several things happening over the next few weeks, so here’s your friendly parent reminder before the calendar gets completely out of control. 😂

🎃 FALL CARNIVAL, IT’S COMING!

Fall Carnival flyers are going home today, including information about Carnival Baskets!

One tiny problem…we may have accidentally left “Spring Carnival” on the flyer. 🤦‍♀️😂

We promise, we know what season it is. We’re just apparently still mentally catching up. 🍂

Fall Carnival is happening, and basket gathering starts NOW! The flyers explain what the baskets are for and what you’ll need to know, so be sure to check those backpacks!

🍫 WORLD’S FINEST CHOCOLATE FUNDRAISER

This is a SCHOOL fundraiser, NOT a PTA fundraiser, and it kicks off tomorrow!

Chocolate bars will be coming home with students who have a permission slip signed and turned in.

🚨 IMPORTANT: Once you take possession of a box, the box cannot be returned with unsold candy. By accepting the box, you are agreeing to turn in the full $80 for the box. This is $2 per candy bar.

Running Club for 1st & 2nd graders starts September 15!

If your student needs a permission slip, they are available in Mrs. McIlvain’s office in the gym.

📚 TONIGHT IS BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT! 🐯

Parents, this is one you’ll want to make time for! Tonight is your chance to hear directly from your student’s teacher about what they’ll be learning this year, plus get important information from the school and PTA.

⏰ Tonight’s Schedule:

6:00–6:30 PM — K–2nd Grade
6:35–7:05 PM — PTA & School Meeting in the Cafeteria
7:10–7:40 PM — 3rd–5th Grade

The information shared tonight is valuable for parents, but we know it can be a long evening for little ones. If you’re able, consider making arrangements for your children to stay home so you can focus and get the most out of the evening.
