Just a gym rat learning to manage - not medicate - my depression and sharing what works.

So apparently, my Midwestern accent turned "Schwarzenegger" into something borderline racist last week, and the comments went wild.

I was just trying to make a funny bodybuilding joke by combining Ronnie Coleman and Arnold, but I guess my Great Plains tongue needs to enunciate more clearly. 😬🤣

What do you think? Am I saying it wrong?

There's something special about gym culture - the constant encouragement and inspiration flowing between people chasing better versions of themselves.

My workouts have improved so much thanks to friends like Levin () with his creative functional moves, Jamison (.lifts) with his shoulder adduction/abduction, and Olivier who fully embraced meditative rowing. Its motivating to see how we all lift each other up.

This is my friend Levin - former military and aerospace guy who comes up with some of the most creative and functional training ideas I've ever seen.

He got this medicine ball on a rope setup to train the exact demanding movements his job requires. The result is serious chest, core, and grip strength gains. He even had to get his bowling ball resized because his fingers no longer fit the holes!

If you enjoy practical, real-world strength training, you're going to love this.

Shoutout to on Instagram and TikTok.

Want some nice looking summer legs? This simple adjustment on the stair climber completely changes how hard your calves have to work.

Most people put their full foot on each step and miss out on serious gains. Try this small tweak next time you're on the machine and you'll immediately feel the difference. Just make sure to eat a banana so you don't wake up with a Charlie horse in the middle of the night. 🍌😬

Many people see addiction as a personal failure, but the reality is often much more complicated. Mental health struggles can leave people searching for relief, comfort, or escape, and sometimes that search leads down a difficult path.

I've learned that addictive tendencies can show up in unexpected ways, even in activities that seem healthy on the surface. That's why conversations about recovery, depression, and substance use need more empathy and less judgment.

If you've faced challenges with mental health, recovery, or unhealthy coping habits, your experience matters. Sharing our stories can help others feel less alone and create a better understanding of what people are really going through.

Well, this was cool - the most I've ever gotten was 40k on TikTok, and I occasionally hit a few thousand on Instagram. If only I could get content to pop over here on Facebook. 😜

I've skipped traditional leg, back, shoulder, and ab workouts for over a year. Who says you need heavy squats and dedicated gym days to build muscle? By focusing on functional movement with a bit of added resistance, you can get plenty big, and the results speak for themselves - I'm not a small man.

Drawing from the way that old-school lumberjacks got yoked, my physique has never been better. Sometimes, the simplest tools and steady effort deliver the biggest changes.

Huge thanks to for making the most indestructible and awesome weight vest money can buy!

Dealing with sleep apnea is tough enough, but adding brutal allergy season on top makes it miserable. Between the constant sneezing, runny nose, and poor sleep, I haven’t been able to hit the gym in days.

Anyone else fighting this terrible combo right now?

Here's a training hack for busy people: weighted cardio lets you build strength and burn fat at the same time. When done right, you may not have to spend hours doing separate leg, back, or shoulder days.

It's perfect for the average person who wants great results without living in the gym (even though I still do 🤣).

I only work with actives 🍄🧪 in intentional, therapeutic settings and never recreationally. These substances are powerful amplifiers that can quickly intensify difficult emotions and leave you in a fragile place if the mindset or environment isn’t right.

I strongly prefer caution and control over casual use at events or for fun.
