Huge shoutout to our very own Benjamin Reed and Evangelene King for representing Broken Arrow High School in this year’s Discovery Awards! Along with these two, Aurora Walker was nominated as a “Tech Wild Card.” This year, Broken Arrow had 4 nominations-
Hannah Hadley was nominated (and won!) for “Best Student Scenic Design”
Emma Darrough was nominated for “Achievement in Stage Managing”
Aurora Walker and Emma Newcomb were nominated for “Best Student Lighting Design,” and lastly,
“Oklahoma!” was nominated for “Best Live Orchestra”

After a long hiatus, High School Drama Camp returns to Broken Arrow High School June 1-12! Campers will attend camp at the BAHS Black Box for 2 weeks, and mount a 90-minute production of “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” by William Shakespeare, lights, costumes, set, and all.

Camp is Monday-Friday, 1pm-5pm June 1-5, and 9am-5pm June 8-12, with a final performance in the evening on June 12. Campers will not only be in rehearsal for the show, but will participate in multiple acting and Shakespeare workshops to become more well-rounded, prepared actors, regardless of what role they play in the show. Campers must be incoming 9th-12th graders at Broken Arrow Public Schools, or Broken Arrow 202 graduates. Campers from “academy” campuses (ECA, Vanguard, etc.) are WELCOME! No prior theatre or Shakespeare experience is required.

Auditions for camp will be held at the BAHS Black Box from 1-5pm on Friday, May 29th. Campers are not auditioning to be “in camp,” but rather auditioning for what role they will play in the show. The cast list will be revealed to campers on the first day of camp.
